Work with organizations expanding opportunities and justice for women throughout Nepal. Help facilitate literacy classes, provide health or skills training, or develop credit and savings groups. Volunteers are also needed to teach English.

Teach English in host families or schools, with young children or teens. Volunteers are needed at all levels to teach or assist in classrooms, help set-up libraries and provide opportunities for English conversation and help with homework.

Work with organizations providing care and opportunities for orphaned children. Teach them English, facilitate games and outings, help them with daily routines, or improve their living quarters.

Gain hands-on experience helping farmers plant and harvest organic crops. Learn how to integrate vegetable and grain production with animal husbandry. Learn about permaculture, plowing, and grinding specialty flours.

Immerse yourself in the foundation of Nepalese social life: family. Help prepare food and take care of animals, play with children and help them with homework, learn Nepali through everyday conversation. Can be combined with other programs.

Help promote environmental awareness by planting trees, working with community forestry programs, demonstrating appropriate technology, or mobilizing youth clubs.
